AZS bricks, the full name of which is fused zirconium corundum bricks (Alumina-Zirconia-Silica), are a high-performance refractory material widely used in glass kilns. According to the different content of ZrO₂ (zirconium oxide), AZS bricks are mainly divided into three models: AZS-33#, AZS-36# and AZS-41#. These three models represent different performance levels and usage scenarios.

1. AZS-33# (containing 33% zirconium)
This is the most commonly used basic model, with good resistance to glass liquid corrosion and thermal stability, and a relatively low price. It is suitable for parts that are not severely corroded by glass liquid, such as regenerators, furnace walls, etc. There is a certain proportion of glass phase in its microstructure, so the corrosion resistance is relatively weak, but it is cost-effective.

2. AZS-36# (36% zirconium)
Compared with 33# brick, AZS-36# contains a higher proportion of ZrO₂, and its corrosion resistance is significantly improved. It is suitable for parts with frequent contact with glass liquid, such as working pool, channel bricks, etc. It has a low tendency to generate bubbles and can effectively reduce defects in glass products, so it is often used in occasions with high product quality requirements.

3. AZS-41# (41% zirconium)
This is the highest grade AZS brick, with the highest zirconium content, the densest crystal structure, the best corrosion resistance and peeling resistance, and almost no glass phase. It is suitable for high-corrosion and high-temperature areas, such as kiln melting pool, feed port, near the liquid level line and other key locations. The price is higher, but the service life is also the longest.
