Fired bricks: through high-temperature firing, a dense structure is formed, with high strength and fire resistance. This is the most common type of high-alumina bricks, suitable for most high-temperature environments.

Unfired bricks: using chemical binders and other materials to solidify at room temperature, often used in specific application scenarios, such as some low-temperature refractory materials.

3. Classification by use
The use of high-alumina bricks determines its performance requirements. Common classifications include:

High-alumina bricks for metallurgy: mainly used in metallurgical equipment such as electric furnaces and aluminum melting furnaces. This type of brick requires high fire resistance and wear resistance, and high-alumina or ultra-high-alumina bricks are usually selected.

Bricks for cement kilns: In the cement industry, cement kilns need to withstand high temperatures and strong wear, so high-alumina bricks are often used.

Bricks for the chemical industry: used in chemical reactors, heat treatment furnaces and other equipment, requiring the bricks to have corrosion resistance and good thermal stability.
