  Description

Refractory castables are a type of high-performance, heat-resistant material used in high-temperature applications such as furnaces, kilns, and reactors. They are made from a mix of refractory aggregates, binders, and additives that can be poured, cast, or pumped into place to form a solid, durable lining. Unlike traditional firebricks, castables have no seams, offering improved thermal efficiency and resistance to thermal shock, wear, and chemical attack. They are highly customizable to meet specific temperature, mechanical, and chemical requirements.

  Application:

  • High-Alumina Castable: Used in high-temperature environments such as blast furnaces, steel ladles, and chemical reactors.

  • Low-Cement Castable: Ideal for petrochemical, cement kilns, and metallurgical furnace linings where high resistance to wear and thermal shock is required.

  • Corundum Castable: Commonly used in steelmaking, aluminum furnaces, and rotary kilns due to its high wear and heat resistance.

  • Magnesia Castable: Primarily used in steelmaking furnaces, cement kilns, and other high-temperature applications in the metallurgical industry.

  • Silica-Alumina Castable: Applied in glass furnaces, ceramic kilns, and other medium-to-low temperature applications requiring good thermal insulation and moderate heat resistance.
